The Wisc is a word i made up by using the acronym for “The World Is Crying”. It defines the end of humanity on the planet.

It could be thought of it as the end of the world, but it’s not. The Wisc is the end of humans, but the world remains the same.

The speech that can be heard on this song, is a speech made by a 13 year old gilr on The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (Eco ’92) in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.

Luc Days is a Great Friend of mine and a Great Singer. I decided to invite him to sing on this particular song because it reminds me of him. He’s a person who has a pure soul, And a positive heart. And of course, he has an amazing voice.

Hace una semana terminé un libro llamado The Music Lesson: A Spiritual Search for Growth Through Music (La lección de música: Una búsqueda espiritual para el crecimiento a través de la música) por Victor L. Wooten.
Sin dudas, un excelente libro que me abrió la cabeza. El libro mismo es una historia ficticia, escrita por un músico, pero yo creo que tiene mucha mas realidad de lo que se puede leer…

Luego de terminarlo, encontré otro libro relacionado llamado Free Play: Improvisation in Life and Art, de Stephen Nachmanovitch. Este último aún estoy leyéndolo, pero me está abriendo muchísimo mas la cabeza, a rincones a los que nunca fuí en ella.

Estos dos libros, son textos que permiten al lector, ver de una perspectiva mucho mas intangible, a la música, la vida, y todo lo relacionado con el arte, (ya que vivir es también un arte).

Quien pensaría que la Inspiración, la improvisación y la evolución estan TAN atados de la mano. Uno puede decir que es obvio cuando lo lee, pero de seguro que jamás se le ocurrió pensar y analizar el por que…

La unión de las tres
Cuando hablamos de inspiración, hablamos de tener un sentimiento tan fuerte, que somos capaces de representarlo a través de algún medio. Estos pueden ser palabras, imágenes, sonidos, objetos y muchísimas otras cosas mas.

Cuando hablamos de improvisación, lo primero que se nos viene a la cabeza es el arte de “inventar en el momento” algo que no existía. La improvisación se vé mucho mas fuerte en la música o el teatro por ejemplo, en donde lo que se hace en ese momento, es lo que queda, ya que no hay forma de cambiarlo.

Cuando hablamos de evolución, nos referimos a un proceso de millones de años, en el que millones de factores se pusieron en juego y lograron que las cosas y los seres seamos como somos hoy. Esto significa que todo lo que somos y hacemos, se lo debemos a ese proceso de millones de años.

Si decimos que la Inspiración es algo que nos lleva a crear algo, entonces podemos decir que es exactamente lo mismo que la Improvisación. Básicamente lo que hacemos cuando por ejemplo componemos una canción, es improvisar sobre nuestra inspiración. A diferencia de improvisar en un show en vivo, esta improvisación, la dejamos plasmada en una hoja, cuaderno o lo que sea, para que mas adelante deje de ser una improvisación y sea algo realizado con un plan.

El mareo viene cuando hablamos de evolución! Decíamos que la improvisación es el momento en el que juntamos nuestros conocimientos técnicos, con nuestros sentimientos mas fuertes, para crear algo que pueda representar ese sentimiento…

Pero si somos lo que somos y hacemos lo que hacemos, gracias a un proceso evolutivo de millones de años, significa que esa “creación espontanea” se debe gracias en gran parte a ello. La forma de sentir y creer en cosas, de cada persona, está atada a su forma de vida desde que nació hasta el presente. Y lo mismo sucede hablando a mayor escala, en donde el mismo ser humano está atado a su evolución.

Existe un ejemplo muy famoso en donde Michelangelo expone su teoría:

“La estatua ya existe en la piedra y ha estado ahí desde los comienzos de los tiempos. Es el trabajo del escultor, verla identificarla, y eliminar el exceso a su alrededor.”

Básicamente, a mi entender, lo que intenta decirnos es que cada cosa que el ser humano crea, no es algo que se inventó o creó en ese momento. Esa creación tiene un trasfondo mucho mayor de lo que uno puede ver o sentir.

Somos lo que fuimos evolucionados a ser…

Una conclusión en base a todo esto:
Si somos lo que evolucionamos, por que no buscamos la manera de evolucionar de una manera ahora, para poder tomar provecho en un futuro?
Con evolución no me refiero solo al proceso de millones de años. Hablo también de la evolución personal en esta vida. Cuando eramos bebés, aprendimos a hablar y caminar, y hoy en día, podemos a hacerlo, gracias a ello.
Por que no nos esforzamos cada uno, por hacer y ser lo que queremos en un futuro?

A few days ago I finished reading “Duma Key”, a novel by Stephen King.
I gotta say it wasn’t as catchy as other novels by the same author, thoug i liked it and it even got me thinking…

Basically, the story is about a man who starts painting, and the stuff he paints become real… Wouldn’t it be great to have that kind of power?… Wouldn’t it be great if it were real?… But what if it is real?

Fiction or Reality?
It really got me thinking… I don’t actually know it this might happend with other kinds of art, but I know for certain that, with music, you can make things real…
Doesn’t people fall in love with a love song?
Doesn’t people get sad with sad songs?
Don’t kids get happy when we sing them a happy song?
And what about bedtime songs? Don’t they fall asleep?

So… how much is there of fiction and how much of reality?
Once upon a time I wrote an article about how music allows us to control the mind of people, by controlling their feelings with music… and I still stand firm with that belief…

On it, i try to express the way I feel about my life, and how i want to live it. I’m a guy who needs to focus 100% on what he does, without distractions, being one of them LOVE. I simply do not allow myself to balance or share the time i have on my life. It might sound selfish, but it’s not. Trust me. Being the way one wants to be requires time and dedication. The more time and dedication you get, the better the results.

It’s been a long time since i decided to use that time on me 100%.

I won’t be getting into much more detail. You’ll gety to know much more of this on the book I’ll be publishing with the album.
Just know that I’m not talking about “what would I replace in my current life”, but what i would have done in another life.
I already have a plan for this life.

And you… What would you do in another life?

I’ve been all day wanting to write something and, as the night was falling, i was about to give up, thinking “I could write something tomorro”. Taking a last look to Facebook, before going to bed, I found this posted by one of my friends:

On another video, Liu Wei explains the following:

My mother doesn’t expects me to be succesful, just to grow up healthy and happy; but as far as I’m concerned, I have to be succesful.

And later he adds:

Who says piano has to be played with hands?

WHOA!

Not only he gives us a lesson that to be succesful you have to be persistent, but he also shows us that things don’t need to be one way. The simple fact of living in a way, closes our mind in way of thinking and seeing things, from which we cannot get out of, until someone else, or even ourselves, lives a different experience and proves that things can be the way you want them to be.

By the way, In case you were wondering, the song he plays on the first video is called  Mariage d’ Amour by Richard Clayderman
